Today we continued working with exponents and covered the last of the exponent rules. We learned:
1. When dividing two terms with the same base you subtract the exponent
2. When raising a quotient to a power you raise both the numerator and the denominator to that power.
To find these rules put in to practice click on the link for today's notes: Notes #7
HW #11: P. 354 #1-11, 21-35, 43-49, 53 odd
Here's a great website to help you practice your exponent skills. Try all three difficulty levels!

& pg. 348 (#9-21 odd, 33-39 odd)
Please check your answers in the back of the book when finished. Here are some of the homework problems worked out.
- When multiplying two terms with the same base you add the exponent.
- When raising a power to a power you multiply the powers.
- When raising a product to a power you raise each piece to that power.
